Song Of The Month – Demi Lovato ‘TMYLM’

Hey there lovelies! I hope you are doing well! This months’ song of the month is an extra special one. It’s Demi Lovatos new song ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ and the reason why it is so special to me is the love I have for this woman and her story.

When I was younger I never really was a fan of Demi Lovato and her work. Of course I knew who she was and I watched some of her movies like ‘Camp Rock’ or ‘Sunny with a Chance’ but I wouldn’t have considered myself as a fan. It wasn’t until she openly spoke about her mental health issues and struggles that I really started to notice her. It’s probably because we share a very similar story in the sense of where we are coming from and what we had to go through as a teenager that I know how hard it must have been to publicly talk about these issues and dealing with them whilst being in the public eye.

Ever since she came out with her issues she has been one of my number one role models in the media industry. I know so many people say you shouldn’t idealize someone that’s famous or in the public eye. But I don’t look up to her because of her career, or her beauty (which by the way is out of this world! God this woman is beautiful!), I look up to her solely because of her story and her strength. I love seeing someone out there who shows how hard it is to cope with mental issues but that it’s still possible. I for one know that if this would’ve happened when I was a young teenager feeling lost dealing with depression I would’ve loved to have someone like her I could look up to.

Anyways I could go on and on about her (maybe I’ll do that in a different post some time in the future) but today’s post is supposed to be about her new song, which is so good by the way. I absolutely love her voice and the song gives me all the feels! Have you listened to her new song or her new album yet? What do you think? Let me know! xo, Marie
